Our client is the leader of children’s clothing and has a presence in 60 countries. It has over 1,000 shops and has €500 million turnover.

As our client is steadily expanding in China (24 shops to date) and they are now looking for a:

The successful candidate will be based in the Shanghai office, China, and will be reporting to  the Operations Director for China. The controller will take responsibility for all financial duties of the Subsidiary.

After a three-month training period in their French headquarters, your primary duty will consist of setting up the financial organisation that would include the treasury, accountancy and financial control activities:

Accountancy:
1/1setting up an accounting structure
2/1 being liable for 
3/ Month and half year end procedures
4/1 You will be liaising regularly with the French headquarters
5/1 yearly financial statements with or without chartered accountants’ collaboration
6/1 dealing with local auditors

Financial control:
1/2 Building of the budgets
2/2 Implementation of three-year plan budgets
2/3 Running and following

Treasury:
1/3 building treasury plan for long and short term
2/3 following of the day-to-day treasury operations
3/3 Cash pooling

You will be liable for reporting of financial data, reliability and transparency for the business.

You will be responsible for hiring, managing and training a small finance team

Profile :
Financial degree achieved in China,
at least 5 years’ experience in the financial field ideally gained in China, either in
a retail company,  or international company,
Fluency in English compulsory, French language would be a great asset,
Postgraduate study achieved in France
